What activities can you do during the Festive Period?

Get a tree

It’s officially December, a time when absolutely no one can judge you for putting up your Christmas tree. There’s nothing more festive than having your Christmas tree up in your home.

It’s doesn’t matter if you tree is faux, real, big or small. Invest in something that works for you, and decorate it in a way that will make you feel happy and get into the festive mood.

Watch your Favourite festive Holiday Movie

What activities can you do during the Festive Period?

We all have a favourite festive movie or show to watch during this lovely season. If you haven’t caught on to the festive fever, maybe it’s time to watch your favourite movie.

My personal favourite is ‘The Holiday’ starring Jude law, Cameron Diaz, Kate Winslet and Jack Black. I absolutely adore that movie, and watch it every year without fail.

Go to Winter Wonderland

Winter wonderland is a perfect to get into the festive season. Enjoy seeing a variety of attractions, have delicious food, and drinks, and oh, there’s plenty of activities to do.

Make a Christmas playlist

We can all collectively agree that Christmas music is the best way to get into the holiday spirit. So, why not make a Christmas playlist complied with your favourite songs from childhood and now.

Invest in some Christmas Pyjamas

There’s nothing better than a warm, comfortable, and coordinated set. The feeling is unmatched, so why not invest in Christmas-themed pyjamas to get you into the holiday mood.

Make a list of Christmas gifts for others.

One of favourite things about this holiday season is gift giving. It’s the best time to start thinking about what to get your friends and family, and if you want ideas on practical gifts here are mine.

Plan a festive dinner with your friends

Christmas is usually a time that people spend with family. If you know that you won’t be seeing your friends this Christmas. Why not plan a festive dinner, where everyone can bring their own dish, and you can share it together. You can also, cook together to make it more special.

Start a Book with a holiday theme

There’s no better time to start a book with a holiday theme than now. I love reading during the winter and festive periods, because you can just snuggle up in your warm pyjamas and lovely hot drink. It’s the perfect combination to get into the holiday spirit.

Go for a drive or walk to look a Christmas lights

It’s amazing how people decorate outside their homes for the festive season. I love driving past houses with extravagant lights and decorations, which are all Christmas themed. I must admit, I’m always curious to know how much the electric bill is. But it sure is lovely to see all those decorations.

Go through your clothes for things you can donate.

Christmas for me, is all about giving more than receiving. If you have a lot of clothes that you don’t wear anymore, one thing you can to do is go through them and donate them to charity. Remember to wash the clothes before you donate them.

Happy festive season everyone 🎄❄️
