We are closing in on the year 2022 and this can mean a lot of things for everyone. Some people get discouraged this time of the year. But for others, these last few months of the year are an opportunity to prepare and welcome new beginnings. In this blog post I want to share 5 Christian affirmations to help your Faith as we approach the end of the year.
What are Christian Affirmations?
Christian affirmations are encouraging statements based out of Biblical truths. In this post I will share 5 Christian affirmations that will help to encourage your faith in Christ Jesus as the year comes to an end.
- I am Strengthened
Philippians 4 vs 13
“I can do all things through Christ who that Strengthens me“
The end of the year can be very challenging and difficult for many people. A lot of our everyday tasks can become harder to do. People start to lose motivation during the end of the year. A sense of giving up impedes on most. But scripture says that we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. So remember that through Christ you can do it all because He is the one that strengthens you.
- I will not Fear
2 Timothy 1 vs 7
“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”
There are many fears that surface at the end of the year. Questions start to rise about the upcoming year that can cause you to worry and fear. People start to fear the possibility of death for them and loved ones. These fears can be paralysing and make it hard for you.
But the Word of God says that He has not given us a spirit of fear but of power and of love and a sound mind. The spirit of Love causes us not to be afraid, we are encouraged, strengthened, and have hope. So remember that God has not given you a Spirit of fear. Jesus has given you the Spirit of power, love and a sound mind.
- I will Live my Life
John 10 vs 10
“The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”
Towards the end of the year there is always this resounding fear of the enemy and his devious schemes. Scripture warns us that it is the enemy that comes to steal, kill, and destroy. Though the enemy comes to do this, scripture shows us that Jesus Christ came to give us life. It doesn’t stop there; Christ came so that we may have life in abundance.
So when those anxieties creep in and the attacks of the enemy are thrown at you. Remember the words of Jesus Christ that He has come give Life.
- His Workmanship
Ephesians 2 vs 10
“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.”
This is the perfect word for you if you are worried about what is next for in the New Year. If you feel as though you are lost, discouraged, and have no idea what your goals are for the next year. His word says that YOU are created in Christ Jesus for good works. Guess what, God created those good works beforehand so that you can walk in them. Believe and trust that God has a plan for your Life.
- I am Loved
Romans 8 vs 5
“But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
Whatever you have through or are going through. Just remember that Jesus Loves you. When we make mistakes, when we fail or when other people disappoint us, we forget the Love of God. I want to remind you that the love of God is not measured by the standards of the world.
In the world, when we make mistakes, we are told that we are not worthy. The judgement of the world is harsh and can leave you feeling unloved and hopeless. But when we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Showing us that HE loves us so much.
So remember that you are LOVED. Let that word encourage, strengthen, and keep you going.
