5 End-of-Summer Activities If You Are Not Ready for Autumn

1. Host a Summer Gathering with Friends.

5 End-of-Summer Activities If You Are Not Ready for Autumn

There is no better way to say goodbye to summer than a gathering with friends and loved ones. I am a sucker r for hosting my friends, whether it is a game or movie night I love it, as I get the opportunity to be with friends.

Hosting a summer gathering with your friends will allow you to dress up in pretty and colourful dresses in line with the summer theme. You can also make delicious summer dishes that you won’t be able to have any other time.

2. Enjoy the Sun

If you live in a place with horrible weather, this is your reminder to enjoy the sunny weather while it is still here. I have been spending far too many days indoors and not taking advantage of the good weather.

Enjoying the Sun in Chamonix, France.

There are many activities to do outside like going to the beach or having a picnic. However, remember to put on sunscreen, two hours to be precise. It is not a myth that the sun damages your skin, so make sure to lather yourself with sunscreen.

3. Wear that Summer Outfit

This is your sign, to go to your closet, and pick out that special outfit. We all have clothes that we savour for special occasions. But there is no better time than now, to wear that outfit. Make sure to dress it up, go out with friends or take yourself out. Capture some lovely pictures of yourself in the process even if you don’t post them.

4. Take A Day Trip

If booking a last-minute holiday to another country is expensive. A day trip is the perfect alternative that you can do end of summer. Take advantage of the weekend by going away to a nearby city to explore, eat in a new restaurant and do fun activities. You will be surprised how many great cities are near you that you have never visited.

5. Read A Summer Book

5 End-of-Summer Activities If You Are Not Ready for Autumn.

There is nothing like a summer book to elicit summer vibes. My favourite summer reads are Love and Other Words by Christina Lauren, Beach Read by Emily Henry and Just for the Summer by Abby Jimenz. These books capture the essence of summer and make me feel like I am in another country and experiencing summer there.

O’L Final Thoughts

Summer is far from over, so, you feel like you have not done many things this summer, you still have time. It does not have to be anything extravagant, truthfully, I found that the key to a good summer for me was spending time with friends and loved ones.
