- Watch your Favourite Holiday Movie
We all have a favourite festive movie or show to watch during the Christmas season. If you haven’t caught on to the festive fever, maybe it’s time to watch your favourite movie.
My personal favourite is ‘The Holiday,’ starring Jude Law, Cameron Diaz, Kate Winslet, and Jack Black. I absolutely adore that movie and watch it every year without fail.
2. Read a Holiday Book
There’s no better time to start a book with a holiday theme than now. I love reading during the winter and festive periods because you can snuggle up in your warm pyjamas with a lovely hot drink. It’s the perfect combination to get into the holiday spirit.
3. Spend time with family and friends
The holiday season is the best time to spend time with your loved ones. It’s the season of giving, so start by freeing up your time for the people that you love. I know, it’s tempting to spend all your free time at home , snuggled up in bed.
But, I’ve realised that whenever I’m with friends and family I always end up having a good time and feeling so much happier afterwards.
4. Get out in the snow
A lot of people where I live got to experience snow, unfortunately, I was not one of them. But, I remember travelling to Zakopane two winters ago, and seeing an abundance of fresh snow.
My friends and I ended up snowballing each other. It is one of my favourite snow experiences to date, so I can’t recommend this point enough. Don’t forget to be safe, it can get slippery.
5. Make a Christmas playlist
I think we can all collectively agree that Christmas music is the best way to get into the holiday spirit. So, why not make a Christmas playlist complied with your favourite songs from childhood and now.
6. Go for a drive or walk to look a Christmas lights.
It’s amazing how people decorate outside their homes for the festive season. I love driving past houses with extravagant lights and decorations, which are all Christmas-themed. I must admit, I’m always curious to know how much the electric bill is. But it sure is lovely to see all those decorations.
O’L Final Thoughts
I love this season, it’s a beautiful time of giving and spending time with your loved ones. So, romanticise this holiday season by doing something everyday to get you into the holiday spirit. Remember, that it doesn’t have to anything expensive!
