1. Start With What You are Doing
One way that I romanticise my life is through appreciating the small and seemingly mundane things. Sometimes, the idea of romanticising your life seems to point to the big moments. But it is in the little things that we do daily that we should start romanticising and appreciating.
2. Get a Camcorder
Camcorders are very much like cameras; they allow you to capture motion images or make videos. The use of camcorders is to capture everyday moments in the most candid way possible. That is why getting one this summer will help with romanticising your summer. You can capture beautiful moments with your loved ones which you can look back on in the future.
3. Read a Summer Book
My top summer read so far has been ‘Just for the Summer’ by Abby Jimenz. She is my favourite author when it comes to the romance genre. Her books always have a deeper plot aside from the romance. I personally love a plot-driven romance book, so if that is your thing, this is the perfect book for summer vibes.
4. Go Vintage Shopping
Another way to romanticise your life this summer is to plan a day out with your friends dedicated to vintage shopping only. You can make a whole day out of it by dressing up and going our for lunch after. Make sure to research places with the best vintage shops that are good and affordable.
5. Got to a Café
There is seriously nothing more romantic than going to a café to have your lovely coffee or tea. Whether you go by yourself or with a friend, going to a café captures all the vibes of romanticising your life. You can go to a café with a book to read, a journal or a notebook to curate some creative ideas. Just make sure to enjoy your time.
6. Book a Trip
If you have been thinking about booking that trip, this is the best time to do it. My friend and I have been talking about visiting the South of France for years and we booked the trip. We have since been planning our outfits, places to visit and food to eat. Our preparations for this trip have been exciting and made the experience wholesome.
O’L Final Thoughts
Ultimately, the summer you will have is depended on what you make it. Don’t wait for things to happen to you, rather make things happen. Just remember that there is beauty in the small things, I believe those are things we need to romanticise the most.
