Last summer, my friends and I booked an impromptu trip. Well, let me just say that the trip was meant to be Croatia. But we ended up mistakenly booking an inclusive trip to an island in Greece, we hadn’t heard of, Kefalonia. To my surprise, this trip ended up being one of the best trips I’ve been too. I think it qualifies as part of a ‘European summer’ destination. So let’s talk about it, why should you visit Kefalonia in Greece.
The Beaches
Kefalonia has one of the best beaches I have seen, experienced and enjoyed. I want to particularly add that Kefalonia is a family friendly destination. So let’s talk about some of the best beaches in Kefalonia. There are many beaches in kefalonia, these are just a few that we managed to see:
Myrtos Beach
Myrtos is a famous beautiful beach by Kefelonia boats. It is a large coast with turquoise waters and white sand, surrounded by steep cliffs. The water was amazing, might I add.
Poros Beach
The beach of Poros has many nice spots to relax. Its crystal water and the white pebbles attract many visitors.
Gradakia beach
Gradakia lies in the wider Lassi resort area, It is a more family-friendly version of the more crowded Makris and Platis Gialos.
