I was looking through my camera roll, and realised that there were so many places that I got to take pictures in NYC. Visiting NYC was such a dream because it reminded me of all the movies and shows I used to watch. Seeing them in real life was honestly amazing. So, let’s delve into the places to take pictures in NYC.
So, I didn’t get images from your usual conventional places due to the nature of the trip. Next time I go to NYC I will make sure to capture more photos. But for now here are places to take pictures in NYC. I hope you enjoy this collection and that it inspires you to visit the city that never sleeps…
1. Brooklyn Bridge
The Brooklyn Bridge, linking Manhattan and Brooklyn, is a New York icon. What is amazing is that majorNew York buildings are visible, from One World Trade in the financial district to the Chrysler building and the Empire State in Midtown. If you want amazing photos, my biggest tip is going in the morning so you can also catch the sunset.
2. Dumbo’s Washington Street
One of the most famous places to take pictures in NYC is an area known as DUMBO (Down Under Manhattan Bridge Overpass). This place aligns perfectly with the view of Washington bridge with Manhattan skyline in the background.
3. BROWNSTONE HOUSES
Visit New York’s famous architectural houses. There are picturesque in real life, and make you appreciate different
4. Flatiron Building
The triangular Flatiron Building known for resemblance to a cast-iron clothes iron, is one of the world’s most iconic skyscrapers as well as one of the most photographed. There are many angles to take a picture of this building. Make sure you capture them- one location is by the intersection of 5th Avenue and Broadway.
5. Visit Wall Street
You have probably heard about the Wall Street crash of 1929, so historically it makes sense to visit this location.
6. NYC Subway
You can’t visit NYC and forget to take cool pictures of the NYC subway. I took this shots of my friend, and they looked amazing. So make sure to capture cool pictures as well.
7. Staten Island
Take the Ferry to visit Staten Island and see the Statue of Liberty. We went in the evening and got see amazing night time views.

This list doesn’t even cover half of the amazing places that you can take in NYC. I just wanted to share the pictures that I got around the city. If anything, this should encourage you to book that trip and take some picturesque shots of the city.
