Edinburgh is Scotland’s capital city, and is a must visit in the autumnal months. This city is the first place I travelled to solo, and I had a great experience. I highly recommend visiting Edinburgh, you will be left with no regrets.
Wollaton Hall, Nottingham
Wollaston Hall is one of the finest Grade One listed Elizabethan mansions, set within 500 acres of beautiful parkland. There’s a lot to see, from gorgeous architecture, exhibitions, and packed events program and an array of wildlife.
If you are a fan of Chris Nolan’s Batman like me, you’d be happy to know this is the where the famous mansion in the movie was shot.
With its scenic architecture, winding streets and breathtaking castle looking over the city there’s nowhere else like it. For me, Edinburgh is the epitome of autumn, with its historical sights surrounded by crisps orange leaves.

The Peak District is a stunning place to explore at any time of the year. However, in Autumn there is something magical about it, with beautiful colours in all the woodlands and along the quiet lanes.

In autumn, the trees glow with colour making it a perfect walk that will make you feel like you are in another world. The Bolderwood Deer sanctuary is worth the visit, entry is free, but donations are encouraged.
