One last summer trip was due before we enter Autumn. Thankfully, my friend wanted to celebrate her birthday in Mallorca. So in this post I want to explore my favourite moments in Mallorca, Spain and how to book a trip there.
Booking a last minute trip to Mallorca
Okay, so I don’t recommend that you book your trips last minute like me. But, if you happen to decide last minute that you want to travel. We used Expedia to book our holiday (two days before might I add) and we got an awesome deal. For flights and hotel we paid £322 each for 3 nights to Mallorca Spain. There was an option to choose the airport you want to fly with, but that cost more. Overall, for a last minute deal it was perfect for us.
Hotel
The hotel we booked is called Palmanova Suites by TRH. We booked an apartment which had two rooms, for 3 adults. The hotel had great amenities like two swimming pools and great 24hour service. Also, included in our deal was a half board (breakfast and dinner). The breakfast was my favourite part because there were so many options like a good ole English breakfast. The dinner wasn’t too, bad, but if you don’t like the options there are many nearby affordable restaurants.
I loved staying at this hotel, there were so many positives which made it a great stay. The only (not so downside) was the hill you have to walk to get to the hotel.
Things to do in Mallorca- Magaluf
1. Spend the day at Magaluf Beach
The location of the hotel was very convenient, with Magaluf beach being 2 minute away.
2. Explore the local town- Magaluf
You can enjoy visiting and exploring the local town. I can’t say this was my favourite place to explore as they were not many things to do locally, besides visit the beach which was wonderful. But it was lovely capturing moments.
3. Visit Palma Old Town
Okay, so now we are talking. If you want experience culture and see beautiful architecture and do some shopping. The place to be is Palma Old town. To get to Palma from Magaluf we took the bus which was 7 minutes from the hotel.
Palma is a picturesque town known as ‘El Casco Antiguo’ which is where most tourists go to visit. I can attest to the fact that it is a beautiful town, with so much to see.
4. Visit La Seu Cathedral
At the heart of Palma stands the magnificent 14th century cathedral known as La Seu. It is difficult to miss it with its imposing golden colour. The opening times for Palma Cathedral is from 10am and closing times dependant on the time of the year.
5. Other moments captured in Mallorca.
If you are a traveller like me who likes to capture little moments. Here is a recollection of mine:
