If you are looking for a way to celebrate your birthday you are at the right place. As you may know by now, planning birthdays can be really stressful. In this blog post I discuss how to celebrate your birthday in Paris.
Flights
My friends and I booked our trip to Paris 5 months in advance because her birthday fell on a Valentine’s Day weekend. If you know anything about booking flights you will know how expensive Paris can be leading up to Valentine’s Day.
We booked our flights via skyscanner.com and we travelled to Paris with British Airways. In total the cost for the flights for 3 people came up to £350. You can definitely find cheaper flights depending on when and where you book your flights.
Hotel
The pinnacle of our trip was the hotel that we booked. My friend (the mum of the group) found this amazing hotel in Paris with a gorgeous view of the Eiffel Tower. The Hotel is called TimHotel and the room with the Eiffel Tower view is 266. We booked this hotel in advance once again. So it is really important that you book it as soon as you can due to availability. In total it cost us £465 for 2 nights between the 3 of us. Though the hotel was small, it was in a convenient location, had beautiful bathroom and free coffee in our room.
3 Ways to Celebrate Your birthday in Paris
1. Book a birthday Meal on a boat
The first way that you can celebrate your birthday in Paris, is by booking a meal on a boat. There are many Dinner on a cruise options that you can choose from. This all depends on what you want.
My friends and I went for the Paris Seine River Dinner Cruise with Rooftop and Live Singer. This dinner cruise included a 3 course meal which was delicious. The overall atmosphere was lovely and an enjoyable experience. The dinner cruise is expensive, we paid £99 each. Make sure to look for cheaper deals suitable to you.
The bonus experience with the dinner cruise is that you get to see the Eiffel Tower. Trust me when I say this, you will get lovely pictures for your Instagram or Pinterest on the cruise. They also do professional photographs if you are interested
2. Visit the Louvre
The Louvre is a public museum in Paris. The Louvre collection is one of the richest in the world. It is home to the most famous art work in the world- Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa.
The Louvre is a magnificent palace and museum. It is one of the biggest tourist attraction in Paris. If you truly love art, you need to visit this place as early as you can. You can get tickets online or on the day.
3. Visit famous Eiffel Tower locations
One of the most amazing things about Paris is the aesthetic of the famous tower. To be completely honest, I truly believe that it is worth the hype. The Eiffel Tower gives character to this young and vibrant city.
To maximise on your experience of Paris, I would go on to advice that you walk around the city. Doing this, will enable you to see the hidden gems of Paris. This lovely city has many beautiful places which are often overlooked because they are not tourist attractions. To truly appreciate the beautiful Parisian architecture make sure to walk more so you can see the city.
RUE DE L’ UNIVERSITÉ’
The first location that we visited to take great pictures was the ‘RUE DE L’ UNIVERSITÉ’ which is probably one of the best places to see the tower.
AVENUE DE CAMOENS
What makes this location great is that it is at a dead end street, which has a beautiful balcony overlooking the Eiffel Tower. The lightening was really good in the evening. You are guaranteed to get good photographs at this location.
O’L Takeaway
There are many more things to do in Paris that are not covered in this blog post. This weekend birthday plan covers some things that you can do to celebrate your special day. Paris is definitely a great place to celebrate your day.
