The Most Endearing Narrow Alleys and Cobbled Streets in Europe

Whenever I travel to different countries in Europe, I am always fascinated with narrow alleys and cobbled streets. Walking through narrow alleys, feels like being transported back in time.

So, let’s have a look at some of my favourite narrow alleys and streets that I hope will inspire you to visit these beautiful places.

It’s only right that I start with my favourite street, which is, Goodwin Court in London. This hidden stretch of ornate window fronts and gaslight lamps that could be right from the pages of Dickens.

York, England

The Shambles

York is one of the oldest cities in the UK. It is known for its rich history and gothic architecture. The Shambles is one of the historic streets, well- known for its medieval shopping streets in Europe.

Edinburg, UK

Edinburgh is Scotland’s capital city, and is a must visit place for everyone. Anyone who has visited this city will tell you of its charm and stunning historical sights.

Edinburgh’s old town is worth exploring, as you encounter many small and narrow streets, that will make you feel like you are in another time.

Lake Como, Italy

Lake Como is a famous tourist destination known for its exclusive luxury villas, scenic shores and celebrity sightings.

Included on this list are its charming narrow streets which are a must see, doubt, they can be avoided. However, you can most definitely get the best pictures.
